I Did It!

I did it! I ran a 5K. Granted this may be small beans to some people, but for me it was monumental! I hate running! With every fiber of my being, I hate it! I've never done well at cardio. I can lift weights and do sit-ups until I'm blue in the face but cardio ...not so much.

Scott has always wanted me to run a race with him so I decided to try. We have been running for a couple of months now and although I didn't feel I was ready, I did it AND I beat my time by almost 2 minutes. This is a picture of me smiling at the VERY beginning. Ya that didn't last too long.

Scott kept taking pictures so I decided to pretend I was having fun. Yeah...running rocks!!! Again, this is at the beginning of the race. The smile quickly turned to "oh my gosh I'm gonna die...is it over yet? "

I'll save you the agony of seeing what I looked like directly after the race, but as you can see I still have the big vein popping out of my forehead. As you can also see, the only one who looks tired here is me. That's because Scott ran with me at my slow pace to give that extra support I needed to push my 41 yr, bad knee, bad back, 20 lb over- baby weight (my youngest is 3 :( ) body to it's limit. This is a walk in the park for Scott. My brother also ran with us and he had an awesome finishing time. Way to go little brother!!! Thanks to him and Scott who gave me encouragement the whole way. I'm usually pretty hard on myself but this time I'm proud of what I did and I can shout it out loud!! I have one more in April to do.....I have to be nuts to do this again seeing that I could hardly get out of bed this morning I was so sore. Then again I guess I've never been sane!

Human Helicopter

After the kids bath, they like Daddy to do what they call "the Helicopter." The kids love it. Kasey is giggling in the video but you can't really hear it. Scott also does this with Jordan and he is a solid 51lbs. My hubby is just so strong, he can do anything (wink wink) :)

Oh So Cute!

My brother Aaron got a little kitten for my niece Jaymie. She's the cutest little thing. Her name is Frankie and we went to visit her the other day. My kids LOVED her and now they want one....hmmm! I had MANY cats when I was growing up and because we lived on a main road, they all tragically met their end. I tell my kids that because of this I've been traumatized and this is the reason we can't have a cat...or it could be that I don't want to have to take care of one more thing!! Regardless, this kitty IS really adorable and Jordan kept saying "I just love how cute she is, I'm going to be really gentle."

Kasey kept saying, "look mommy she likes me."

It was really fun to see them so excited.

Random Pics

A little "Zoolander" for my Sister-in-law Heather.

My mom found this hat Jordan has on in her attic. It was mine when I was 4 or so. Looks really innocent doesn't he?

My kids are so bored of staying inside, they do all sorts of interesting things like play dress up in their PJ's.

I'm 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 years old

Jordan couldn't remember how old he was so I told him he was "one hand" old. So, now when someone asks him he says (as he counts on his fingers), I'm one, two, three, four, five. I'm five." I think it's cute. So, here are some pictures of the morning of Jordan's birthday and his party. In the morning of their birthday, I always fill their room with balloons. Can you see the boy behind the balloon!

So, initially we bought him an electronic racetrack. He was so excited and the picture above is of him watching the cars race around the track. He was giggling and having a great time. BUT he soon got very frustrated with the cars falling off the track around the curve. So, we took it back to the store that day and he picked out something else. It's too bad because he really loved it but understood that he maybe wasn't old enough for it quite yet. I still wanted to put the picture on because I love his expression.

This year I broke the bank and paid for a party at the RI indoor Gym instead of our house. When I asked him where he wanted to have it he said anywhere that has a "jumpy thing". We had a good time and I must say it was a lot less stressful for me not having to make sure the house was immaculate, plan the food, make sure the food was cooked on time etc....

Jordan and Mommy with his Hot Wheels cake.

I loved the expression of Jordan and Carolines face in this picture.

One of the moms at Jordans preschool made this blanket for him. He loved it and I love that my big boy was happy on his birthday. Thanks everyone for helping make that happen.!!
