Mystic Aquarium
This year, my 15th wedding anniversary landed on Thanksgiving day. So, the next day we went to Mystic Aquarium. This place keeps getting more expensive every year, and I must say that I think I'm done going there for awhile. The reason we went this time is because there is a new Titanic display and Jordan is obsessed with the Titanic. It was pretty cool. Here we are standing in front of what is supposed to represent the furnace/engine room.
They have a really cool sting ray pool. It takes patience waiting for them to come and rub up against your hand..never mind being squished by lots of little kids. My kids loved it and could of stayed there all day.
They had a room filled with JUST jelly fish. This was my favorite part of the aquarium. I find these creatures so amazing. These pink ones were HUGE and pretty! I couldn't believe it.
The boys
I love the expression on Jordan's face here. The whales kept coming right up to Jordan and staring right at him, then they would open up their mouths. The boys had a blast.
Jordan wanted us to take a picture of him in front of this mosiac. It was pretty awesome. A great day with the kids and my honey. Here's to another 15 years. Happy anniversary! I love my family!!!!

50 Yrs and Counting
Way back in October (yes I know I am way behind) we had my mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary party. It was months in the planning and a lot of hard work, but it all paid off. We had a great time and my mom and dad really enjoyed themselves. The night got started on a little bit of a crazy note....as the smoke detectors went off in the church because of the cooking my brother and his friends were doing for the food for the party. It was loud!!
Once it goes off, you have to have the fire department come shut it off. Yes, we had to evacuate the party while the fire dept. was called. Very embarrassing to say the least, because of course you all know what a stress case I was.... wanting to make sure the night went off without a hitch!
Here is what the Gym looked like after we "transformed" it. Couldn't do anything about the floor but I must say it looked really nice.
\We children put a slide show together for my parents with pictures from them dating, the children and grandchildren and a quick flashback of their life together. Not sure about anyone else, but I had eyes filled with tears when we were done. Each one of us children also gave a brief talk.
We had MANY friends and family helping to make the night wonderful. There is NO way we could of done it without them. We had a chocolate fountain and lots of good food, help with dishes and serving.!
We had dancing!! Papa dancing with his granddaughter Caroline.
The happy couple.
We had a little table set up with pictures and a journal for people to write in.
More dancing...
My mom and dad cutting the cake. My mom pushed it right on in there and even put frosting on his head.
Mom and dad dancing to their song by the Everley Brothers
We had lots of friends, and family attend. My father even had two of his friends from JR HIGH come!!! This is my moms sister Sharon and my cousins Heather and Kimmy. Kimmy and her husband flew in JUST for the party all the way from Arizona!
We had lots of my parents cousins come. They came from Arizona, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New hampshire, Vermont and even as far as Hawaii. It was great to see them and reconnect.
My mom, Ernie, Me, Mark, Aaron and Dad.
What a great time it was !!!!! Unfortunately, my mother forgot about the party the next day. But my father was able to make some lasting memories of the love and happiness we all feel for them and their marriage. Without them, we would not have so many of the opportunities we kids have today. Without them, we wouldn't have the Gospel in our lives or each other. Thanks Mom and Dad! We love you!
