Scout camp with Daddy

Jordan went on his first Scout campout with Daddy on Columbus day weekend. We are usually away leaf peeping so he didn't get to go last year. He LOVED it. Jordan loves camping! They did a lot of fun things. They played a little kick ball.

They also went on a hike which was very long as Jordan puts it, but way fun.

They stopped at a dam and played in the water.

Jordan found this walking stick on the hiking trail. Isn't it cool? Sadly, we had to leave it there.

Here's all the scouts who went. Jordan loves it all. I'm so glad he is involved in something he just loves to do.

Soccer time

Ready, set...

GOAL!

My little man is quite the speed demon on the field. In fact, he's very proud of the fact that he can outrun all the older kids. ha.

I haven't been able to get any of Jordan because his games are usually at night and they don't come out very well (still learning how to use my camera). He likes to play goalie and last game he did an incredible dive for the ball and got all covered in mud. He was loving it. He also got two goals that game. Always proud of both my boys!

Purple Bliss!

WOOO HOOOOO!!!!! My bathroom renovation is done! We moved into this house in 2000 and can I tell you that I have walked into my old bathroom EVERY day since then saying in my head...I HATE this bathroom, I can't wait to redo it, UGH it's soooo ugly. I'm not sure what the previous owners were thinking but it was done in 1989 with this rusty/pinkish nasty coloring and it was ALL bad.

Finally, my toilet broke and it was time to take action. Who did this wonderful job? My hubby of course. My handy man...the "knows how to do everything and if I don't know I'll read about it and teach myself" man in my life! He did a fabulous job! If it wasn't rusty/pinkish, it was off-white. So, we changed everything to white. Unfortunately, we have dark wood instead of white but everything else is white, grey or purple. New toilet, new sink and vanity, new light fixtures and sink fixtures and outlets. New curtain, purple waste basket, new storage thingy on the wall, new floor...everything looks great! Now I know you must be thinking "Why such a dark purple?". Well, because I LOVE dark purple and that's it!!!! I have always wanted a purple bathroom and when I was knocking myself over the head in agony worrying what people would think about the color, Scott said "who cares what people think. It's YOUR bathroom, do what YOU want."....and so I did.

I have always had a secret crush on Donny Osmond;,hence, where my fetish with all things purple came from. I secretly hope that one day he will come visit me and be so excited about my new bathroom! (Q the little school girl giggles).
