Scott took the boys to the Father/Son campout the church has every year. This is Their 3rd year going. The boys LOVE it. They had another good time this year...and came back as dirty as ever. They also found a turtle and had to have their own flashlights. Boys will be boys.
roasting marshmellows and a raging fire.
Kasey being "transfixed" by the flames.
Jordan and his friend Ben. The kids begged me to come and couldn't understand why mommies couldn't come. I told them it was so daddys and their sons could spend time together and so mommys' could rest a little...to which they immediately replied...a rest from what mommy? Uh huh...see what I mean??

Goodbye Tree
So, our tree is finished for the year. As you can see, although it is beautiful...it leaves quite the mess. The kids have fun with it anyway. We gave it an extra little shake to make some "drama" for our pictures. Even when we don't shake it, The petals are everywhere...my car, the grass, the driveway, the table, tracked into my kitchen on our shoes...and I even found one in Kasey's underwear..hmmmm!!!!
This picture really shows Jordan's personality. He's quite his own little person with his own little personality, and I love that about him. And yes...I have patched the knees in his jeans so many times I'm going insane.
Snowing in spring.
Until next year...

School vacation week part II
This is a little late in the posting but....we went to Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut on the last day of Vacation. It's a little bit over priced but the kids had fun. I went with my older brother, his wife and kids, my mom, and 3 of my nieces and nephews. Jordan, Adam, Dalton, Kasey, Julia, and Jaymie in this shot.
Watching the penguins go by.....LOVE the penguins.
Kasey had a blast. He loves fish and animals in general.

School Vacation Part I
We had a lot of fun school vacation week. Even though I miss the baby stage...I must say vacation week is a lot better when you don't have kids that are requiring a nap OR needing to find a clean place to change a poopy diaper. The first half of the week we went to the children's museum and Roger Williams Zoo. I went with my brother Ernie, his wife Julie and her 2 kids, my 2 and then my niece Julia.
This is in front of the gift shop. This dog statue has been here since my mom was little I think. We always take pictures on it.... There was quite the fight on who would sit in front.
Oh look at that....two little monkeys hanging upside down...and miss Julia too busy with her boyfriends on the phone. (Julia had me stage this one). cute. And after a long hot day at the zoo, there's no better thing then a Del's ice Lemonade. Not to be prejudice or anything, but...I've tried MANY other frosty lemonades in my time and Del's is the BEST hands down.

Spring is Here...
...and my tree is in full bloom. I love this tree. It only blossoms for a short week or so and I wish it were longer. It's so beautiful and my kids love to climb it. I thought this was a great shot of Jordan. I take one of them in this tree every year. They're finally at the stage where they'll actually cooperate...and by the end they were saying "mommy, how about this shot? Take one of me like this."
Kasey is in his "slant my head to the side, goofy smile" stage. But it's cute.
Two little monkeys sitting in a tree.
Where's Waldo? I mean Jordan? Can you see him????.....He's in there I promise.!And for those of you who are going blind like me.....let's try this shot...... Ahhh there he is. !

Savanna's Baptism
We went down to NYC this past weekend for my niece Savanna's baptism. Maline did a great job with it all and Savanna was the sweetest little girl. She was so excited for her big day. You could tell she was extremely aware of the importance of this day and it was for sure a special one for us all. I'm so proud of Savanna and how much of a sweet young girl she is turning out to be. It was also good to see Grandma and Grandpa Gooch who we rarely get to visit with them.
The cousins minus Cooper dooper who of course can't stand still yet for a picture. He's a little spitfire. This is before the baptism.
Kisses from Uncle Scott.
Grandma and Grandpa Gooch with the kids.
Savanna's Grandma Lewis made her a Queen Amadala outfit. I was amazed she made this herself....it was amazing. Savanna floated around it in so proud..she looked so cute.
Later in the day, we went to The Shake Shack to eat and Central Park to play.
Jordan, Savanna and Kasey on the tire swing in the Park. It was a quick weekend. It's always a bummer to have to come home after only a quick day and 1/2 but we had a good time. Unfortunately, Grandpa Gooch got sick with Kidney stones and had to be taken to the ER, but in the end he was okay and that's all that matters. Since we are always so far away we are glad we could be there this time to help you through it. We love you Grandpa and are glad your okay.
Maline and Alan did a great job with the baptism and my kids just love playing with their cousins. Can't wait to go visit again soon.

Easter 2010
We had another great Easter this year. I love seeing my kids wake up and get all excited. I can't sleep the night before because I'm so excited to see the looks on their faces. I wonder how long this will last...because I just LOVE it. This is Jordan with his gifts. Legos of course.
Kasey was up first around 6:30 or so...ugh! We tried to keep him in our room for awhile so Jordan could sleep, but it didn't last long. Around 7:30 we went in to wake up Jordan and he says "why did you wake me up so early" (if I could only say that to HIM when he wakes ME up). Then when he realized it was Easter, he had no problem getting up. Here is Kasey with his Bionicles.
Me with my handsome boys all ready for church.
After what always seems like forever and a power struggle to get the boys to cooporate, we let loose and did a "funny face" I have to say though that the kids did MUCH better this year. We had conference this year on Easter which was actually nice because we could take our time getting ready and eating chocolate. In between conferences we went to my brother Aaron's house and ate, celebrated my Dad and Nephew Matthews birthday....and of course had our egg hunt. My brother Ernie and his family have moved back so it was the first time we all had Easter together in almost 20 years. The weather was PERFECT, and after all the hard times a lot of people had to go through this last week with all the flooding, including my parents, it was like a rainbow after the storm. It was a good thing to see so many people pull together to help out others in need.
Below is a video of the kids telling me that they did indeed HEAR the Easter bunny hopping past their door at night AND pooping out jelly beans. I love the innocence of children.
Hope you all had a happy Easter.
